the latest fuzzy lint from the pockets of the pants

july 11, 2010

well, well. it's already july. here's some good news. i'm working on a project called 50/90, where you try to write 50 songs in 90 days. i started on july 4th and one week later i have 4 songs. according to my calculator, i might actually finish this thing. here's my profile page, just in case you're actually interested. bam.

so, um, the organ smelled funny and the electrical cord was frayed in scary places. i turned it on once, but it got real hot real quick. i put it back out on the sidewalk where i found it.

one day ieatpants will be able to afford his own organ. what? look in my pants? what does that mean? people are weird.

hey there, you can download the new ieatpants album (“ieatpants”) on jamendo:

  Free music for professional licensing

it’s free, dummy.

well, here's an interesting development... i somehow managed to get my first licensed album, "tanz der lemons," onto amazon.com. rad? yes, fucking rad.

february 8, 2010

ieatpants is now focused on writing and recording under the guise of these two projects: rpmchallenge (write and record 10 songs or 35 minutes of music in february) and fawm.org (write music and lyrics for 14 songs in the 28 days of february).

whether these two projects are actually worth the time and effort is really not the debate. what is important is that they are trying to motivate people to write music. and that's cool, duder.

still, though, i find something about these project sites a little self-congratulatory. part of me wants to jump into the forums and message boards and chat and chat and chat, but what is that really? i don't think you'll be surprised to hear that most songwriters are kind of annoying. i mean, they're always talkin 'bout themselves and how awesome their music is... (but admiral, that's called self-promotion, dummy!)

i'm so confused...

in the past few weeks, i've been working on an album. this one is going well. ieatpants is really on a roll. the blog contains sporadic updates with music, lyrics, and documentation of my highs and lows.

you could also follow me on twitter, but you may be setting yourself up for dissapointment.

-love, brandon

how are you sir?
i am fine thanks.

this is the homepage of ieatpants—a musician and all-around stinkypants.
there will also be sporadic updates on Ralpherson G. Mandible, the famed guitarist, satirist, and mathematician. Keep at least one eye open for that acidic experience.
squirting.
acid.
right in the eye.
POW!

enjoy your visit!
